Overview
Didn't Happen is a social, one-shot camera experience for parties. “Didn't Happen”, “we”, and “us” refer to the operator of the Didn’t Happen service. This policy applies to the mobile app and the website at didnthappen.app.
By creating an account or using the service, you acknowledge the practices described below. Do not use the service if you do not agree with this policy.
Data we collect
We collect only the data needed to run the product:
- Account data: email address, display name, authentication identifiers, and account settings.
- Party data: party names, invite codes, membership, scores, and challenge activity.
- Photos and recaps: photos you submit, their storage path, capture time, and any recap created for the party.
- Support and waitlist data: your email and the information you choose to send us.
- Technical data: limited logs and diagnostic information necessary to secure, operate, and troubleshoot the service.
How we use it
We use this data to authenticate you, create and run parties, share the party album with its members, deliver challenges and recaps, provide support, protect the service against misuse, and improve reliability.
We do not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising. We do not use your party photos to build advertising audiences.
Retention and your choices
We keep account and party data while your account and relevant parties remain active. You can request access, correction, export, or deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us. Some data may be retained where required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or to resolve disputes.
You can stop camera access in your device settings. If you delete a photo in the app, it is removed from the active party experience; backup or technical deletion may take a limited time.
For a privacy or deletion request, email support@didnthappen.app with the subject “Privacy request”.
Age and safety
Didn't Happen is not designed for children. You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age required to consent to digital services where you live, to create an account. Party organisers are responsible for ensuring they have permission to invite participants and share party content.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product changes. If an update is material, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
